Guide to GP Services
The Royal College of General Practitioners has produced a useful guide for patients about the services on offer at GP Surgeries and how to access them. You can download the guide below.
If you are ill while away from home and staying at an address within our practice area you can receive immediately necessary treatment at this practice as a temporary resident.
This will allow you to be on our list and still remain a patient of your normal permanent GP.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact us to tell us why you need to be seen by a doctor.
You will need to complete a temporary resident form before we can book you an appointment. You can save time by downloading the form below and completing it before you come to the practice.
Patients Living Abroad
Patients who are living or working abroad are unable to be registered at Ainsdale Medical Centre unless they become unwell and need to see a health care professional when they are staying in the area. In this situation you would need to be registered as a temporary patient with the practice. We are unable to provide routine healthcare to patients living abroad. This includes vaccinations, cervical screening, annual checks and contraceptive advice.
These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum.
