The British Medical Association has announced that junior doctors will participate in a strike from 7 am on Wednesday, 20 December 2023, to 7 am Saturday, 23 December, and again from Wednesday, 3 January, to 7 am Tuesday, 9 January 2024.
If you have changes to an appointment on one of the strike days, we will contact you by SMS message, phone call or letter to reschedule. However, if you did not hear from us, please attend your appointment as usual.
If industrial action is called off, we will make every effort to reinstate any appointments that have been cancelled as quickly as possible. Still, you should only attend if we contact you to let you know a cancelled appointment has been reinstated.
The safety of our patients and service users is our top priority and we have plans to ensure that anyone who needs our care will continue to receive it.
We hope the industrial dispute is resolved as soon as possible, but we apologise for any disruption it may cause.
